Configure Email Settings

The first time you click the email button you may be prompted to configure your email settings to tell Servant Keeper what email service you want to use. If you click the [Yes] button an Email Setting window will appear. You can change the email settings at any time, if needed, by going to Tools | Email Setup or clicking on the [Configure Email Settings] button at the top of the email message form that appears when you click the email button.

To change email settings:

  1. Click on the Tools menu and select Email Setup and an Email Account Settings window will appear.

  2. Click the [Add] button to add a new email account.

  3. In the Email Settings window, Enter a name for the email account.

  4. Click on the Email Provider drop down menu and select the email provider you want to use. You will see the following email provider options.

    • Gmail - allows you to use your gmail account to send email in Servant Keeper.

    • Yahoo - allows you to use the yahoo email account  to send email  in Servant Keeper. If  you have a yahoo plus account you will need to change the smtp server to plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com for more information about yahoo plus go to http://mailplus.mail.yahoo.com/.

    • AOL - allows you to use your AOL or AIM Email account to Send Email in Servant Keeper.

    • Outlook365 - allows you to use your Outlook365 account to send email from in Servant Keeper.

    • Other Email Provider - This option allows you to choose another email provider. If you choose this options, you may need to contact your Internet Service Provider or IT person for the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), Port, SSL Encryption and Authentication information

  5. Enter the email address that is associated with the email account that you want to use to send email\ from Servant Keeper.

  6. Enter the User name and password information for the email account in the Authentication area

  7. Click the [Send Test Email] button, if the settings have been entered correctly  a message will appear saying "The Test Message was sent successfully. Check the inbox for <email Address> to confirm you received the message. The email settings were save." Click the [OK] button.
